Keiko à Nob Hill
Prices are a bit high for the food though. It was small anniversary for my wife and me to meet together 30 years ago. Then decided to reserve Keiko a Nob Hill. Overall it is excellent restaurant. Let me share our experience. Ordered Sampling course with wine pairing Grand. They served with "Smoke" in the covered plate. Very good aroma. Creamy and rich taste. So sweet and creamy. The combination is excellent. Very strong taste and rich flavor. Good matching with Chardonnay White wine. The fish is Suzuki Kind of Bass. Summer season is good.
The bake time is perfect. Some texture with sweetness. It was Wagyu. Tender, Juicy and nice charcoal flavor. After that, Cheese and Dessert. White peach is really nice. My wife and I really enjoyed.
Nob Hill Makeover
The wine pairing isn't the really great. It is quite reasonable. Next time, I would like to select some wine. The food was so fresh, tasty and delicate with a beautiful French flair presentation.

Service was excellent and our whole family enjoyed the delicious celebratory dinner for our son. Thank you. The dining experience was divine!
We were seated in a cozy, intimate dining area with soft lighting and a comfortable banquette. With this setting you just knew something great was going to happen. And it did. We enjoyed a tasing menu with a wine pairing.
Ten courses of amazing food, all prepared to perfection were served over the next 3 hours. The fish was so fresh that I thought I could be back in Kanazawa Japan. The wine pairings were perfect with each course and appealed very much to our palette. The A5 Wagu course did not disappoint. We savored every bite!

Service was attentive and we never felt hurried. We are very appreciative of the talents of this creative and talented chef and look forward to our next visit. Truly outstanding. They do not skimmed on ingredients. Dishes included sea urchin, caviar, lobster, A5 Wagyu beef, fresh fish from Tokyo, are truly luxurious.
The only downside would be parking so I suggest using Uber. Highly highly recommended. Wine pairing is excellent!! The food and service was perfection. The lighting is not right. The rooms are beautiful. You need a lighting consultant to set the lights and keep them there. Maybe shades over the lights. It was uncomfortable and not appropriate for fine dining. I hear others complained also.

Why is no one listening. Everything else is wonderful. A wonderful place to celebrate a special family birthday. Way overpriced for the food and service you get. Great experience every time we had dinner here at Keiko. That being said, the food is on a par with the finest in the Bay area. Our menu started with Uni - not one of my favorites - until now! It was extraordinary. It was followed by three seafood items, each wothy of a Michelin star restaurant. This was followed by an A5 Wagyu beef. Everyone in our party of four, agreed that it was the best beef they had ever had.
So, if you can "handle the price", you will love this dinng experience. Keiko is fine dining perfection! The food is fish and seafood forward except for the wagyu and each course was unique, delicious and meticulously created.
A treat for the senses. We have never had kinder or more attentive service. We informed them of a floral and pollen allergy and they took care to seat us separately and make sure no flowers or pollen was in our food or even near us. The staff made us feel fully cared for without ever intruding.
